Raise opens the editor; Send is when it goes

Raising an agreement from a template now drops you straight into the document with the recipient's name and the effective date already filled in. Fill the rest, then press Send — that is the version the recipient reads, frozen at that moment. Until you send, the agreement is a draft: the recipient cannot see it and nothing is notified. Drafts sit on your Agreements page with Edit and Send.

NEW

Raise an agreement to a person, not a space

A contractor NDA or a services agreement names a person — they may not belong to any space, and they should not have to. Raise now starts from Agreements itself: pick anyone Bench knows, choose a template or a doc, and leave Space empty. The recipient reads exactly the version you raised, read-only, from their own Agreements page, whether or not they are in a space. Choose a space only when the agreement belongs to one.

  • Open shows the frozen document. Every agreement's Open link now goes to the version that was raised, with the accept, request-changes and decline controls beside it — no detour through the project's doc page.

A decision opens in a drawer

From Decisions under For you, and from the Base camp cards, a decision now opens beside what you were doing — the same drawer tasks use — with its context, actions and discussion. Decide there, or Expand to page when you want the full thing. Closing it puts you back exactly where you were.

ALSO IN THIS RELEASE

  • A decision link lights its project. Opening a project's decision from a link or the queue now highlights that project in the sidebar, the way it does when you get there through the project.

  • Raise comes first on Agreements. Raise an agreement — from a template or a Bench doc — is the primary action on Agreements and the first thing on a space's agreements page; uploading a copy signed elsewhere is the second.
